Logroño Public Library of La Rioja

The Public Library of La Rioja is based in La Tabacalera building, a former convent of La Merced, which is located in the western part of the Old Town Logroño, along with other buildings rehabilitated to house public and cultural institutions, such as the Museum of La Rioja.

This architectural complex consists of four clearly differentiated areas: a pavilion in the west area of much more recent construction, the primitive convent with the church and cloister, seat of the Parliament of La Rioja, and the conventual area around a patio where it is located. the Library since 1988.

The building, with a useful area of 4,202 square meters, is rectangular in shape and consists of three floors and a central courtyard.
