Rafael Azcona Library

Logroño Rafael Azcona Library

The Rafael Azcona Library is a cultural infrastructure of the Logroño City Council. It is part of the Network of Public Libraries of La Rioja.

The building that houses the Rafael Azcona Municipal Library was built in 1927 with a project by the well-known Logan architect Fermín Álamo to house the Gonzalo de Berceo Schools. After its closure, it temporarily housed the IES Comercio since 1999.

It is named after Rafael Azcona Fernández (Logroño, October 24, 1926 – Madrid, March 24, 2008). Important scriptwriter of Spanish cinema.
