The current building of Bodegas Campo Viejo was designed in 2001 to celebrate the harmonious balance between oenology, architecture and sustainability. These elements came together to create a temple of winemaking that remains at the forefront of today’s international wine market.
By hiding the main volume of the building underground, dark and serene areas are naturally created with small portions of natural light, which evokes the feeling of being in one of the old traditional Rioja wineries.
The underground construction has not only preserved the natural beauty of the landscape, but has also generated the perfect conditions for wine production: the ability to move grapes and wine by gravity, a constant suitable temperature and stable humidity levels. .
Bodegas Campo Viejo was the first winery in Rioja to obtain the Q for Tourist Quality (2015) and is the Best Of Wine Tourism award, among other recognitions.
It offers a large number of experiences adapted to all types of audiences. Check out the web for guided tours and winelover experiences at the winery and vineyards. Wine & food tastings and aperitif at a privileged setting in the terraces overlooking the vineyard provide unforgettable moments.
